Bachelor of Education (teaching) Early childhood

Kia Ora, my name is Ash (Ashleigh) Williams. I live in Ashburton with my partner Zane and our two dogs Toa and Indie.

I am a qualified Early Childhood Teacher with a passion for outdoor learning and peaceful caregiving. I have been teaching for 12 years. I believe strongly in strong relationships, unhurried learning and treating children as fully capable, understanding humans. Resonate strongly with Pikler/RIE philosophies as well as ensuring tamariki are connected to Papatūānuku, their whānau and their wairua.

My home is exactly that, a home. Tamariki can feel safe and are free to be their authentic selves. I have a large backyard to explore and opportunities to experience through mess, mud, sand, water, loose parts, nature and animals. Tamariki will experience the wonders of gardening, and looking after our earth and ourselves with nutritious cooking and sustainable practices. Delicious and nutritious morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided to the tamariki each day.
