Ko Danika tōku ingoa. I am a primary trained teacher. I have taught Year 1 & Year 2s for the last five years in a play based environment and prior to that worked in various nannying roles both overseas and in NZ. I have experience with newborns through to 8/9 year olds and have been working with children in one way or another for the last 13 years.
Since having my son, Bodhi, a little over a year ago, I have felt called to really pursue my passion for ECE (early childhood education). I am incredibly passionate about child led learning, learning through play and nature based learning, and Magda Gerber’s RIE philosophy, treating all tamariki with love and respect.
I pride myself on my ability to form genuine relationships and to meet each child and their individual interests and needs with love and respect. I hope my home will be a warm, safe and loving environment where your tamariki will feel safe to take risks, develop a lifelong love of learning and a true sense of belonging.
I look forward to meeting you!
