Hello! My name is Jacque and I have been working in childcare for over 20 years. I have a Diploma in Early Childhood Education as well as certificates in special needs care and the NNEB, and a UK nanny qualification.

After training I worked in preschools before heading overseas for five years to nanny in Canada and the UK. When I returned home I taught in preschools before my son was born, I decided he wasn’t suited to a preschool environment so I became a Home Educator, 16 years on and I still love this job! I have had many long term and repeat families who have become part of our family.

What I love most about this job is that I can teach children in the relaxed and child centered home environment. The children can stay in their routines and develop at their own pace. They learn to form relationships with children and adults outside their home but still have the security of a primary caregiver.

I love to give the children lots of experiences from caring for, and playing with, our dog, joining in playgroups, participating in outings to the museum, Willowbank, reserves and parks.  I offer fun art experiences, learning new stories and songs.

My home is well set up for children with a lovely big yard and lots of room for adventures and imagination!
