Kia ora Whānau!

My name is Krissy and my inquisitive tiny human Violet, and I are very excited to be opening up our home to become a learning environment for your precious tamariki. Located just off state highway 1 and 73 in a quiet cul-de-sac in Russley, we are convenient for a travelling parent and smack dab in the middle of everywhere we love to go for our weekly adventures.

My aim is to provide a home away from home for families and tamariki both. I believe tamariki learn best in a warm caring environment where love of nature is nurtured and tamariki lead their own learning and interests. My job is to follow their lead and provide structure. In our house we love to play, sing, craft, bake, use our big imaginations and get our hands and clothes dirty exploring the big wide world around us!! We do our best to use resources that are gathered from nature or made ourselves with reused or recycled materials.

I also have a degree in early learning and 10 years + experience teaching across home-based, nannying and centre-based learning. I love to learn alongside tamariki and am teaching myself to garden, sew and speak Te Reo Māori, Japanese, NZSL and any other language you throw at me!

That’s all just details though; I’d love to hear from you so I can make you a cuppa and we can Kōrerorero about your whānau and the learning needs of your wonderful tamariki.

Let’s meet soon!
